Weaving Our Hearts for You
Our Story
Chovu Creations, named after the Taita word for elephant, was founded to address climate change and human-wildlife conflict. Elephants raiding crops negatively impact women’s livelihoods. By creating eco-friendly handicrafts, we help alleviate poverty, empower women, and support their families, merging tradition with positive community impact.
Our Mission
Produce high quality beautiful crafted handicraft using eco-friendly local natural materials and economically empowering rural women

Weavers
A dedicated team of women weavers in Kasigau villages creates beautiful sisal baskets and handicrafts. Led by their Chairlady, each village’s 10-member group works passionately and skillfully. They emphasize teamwork and craftsmanship, aiming to deliver top-quality products that showcase their rural community’s tradition and creativity.
